Healing Experiences and more...

As a medical doctor, I am someone with high standards about who I trust my body with. My back was a disaster, my shoulder in pain, as well as my ankle and calf were hurting. When I went to Thor, he was able to fix these things with very specific exercises that others were not able to diagnose and deal with. He gave me the tools to continue my work on my own as well. Thor is a very compassionate but also a disciplinarian, both of which you need. He really cares about your health and I would recommend him to everyone. And I have!

I literally checked out on my life after a car accident triggered severe PTSD. I shut down not wanting to get out of bed at all, neglecting my husband and two children. I had prescriptions doctors give that had no effect on the root cause of my panic attacks and lack of desire to rejoin life. Then I met Thor. I was reluctant to believe he would help what was going on in my brain and spirit but I decided I needed to trust somebody. Thor came to my house since I wasn’t going anywhere. He was so gentle with the first movements I had done in 12 weeks of being in bed and distracted me with his sense of humor. A cheerleader and coach, he pushed me to incrementally increase my activity, giving me homework. Weight loss was not my goal at all but in 90 days I lost 12 kilograms( about 26 lbs). I no longer awoke with crippling fear, I no longer felt anxiety outside of the house and I even started driving again! It was a perception reset that Thor gave me along with body confidence and sexy arms. I recommend Thor to anyone who needs total restoration.

Thor is an excellent strength and conditioning coach! He showed me what to eat, worked on putting on muscle so that I would burn fat, and taught me many exercises that I could do at home without machines. As a consequence, I lost 20 punds (my goal) and gained strenfth and better balance. I was 65 when I started this training, after never having exercised much in my whole life. When I was 66 I started running. When I was 67 I started training for my first marathon which I completed, when I was 68. I did my second marathon at 69 and I’m intending to do my third marathon when I turn 70 in 2020. And it all started with Thor!

Ryan Thor is outstanding physiotherapist, especially talented working with older people and people of all ages with injuries. I am 70 years old with bone-on-bone osteoarthritis, serious osteoporosis, and thoracic laminectomy from spine surgery. I stopped exercising from pain and limited range of motion. Thor was receptive, but rigorous, training my body with sequences of exercises which progressed as my range of motion improved, and released me from pain. He is so patient, helping me with humor, offering variations for each of the exercises. The most important part is that he teaches “HOW” to perform the exercises to gain the most benefit. I can say after 57 sessions of training with Thor, the quality of my health and life are improved amazingly. From my experience, he is an exceptional person and most excellent teacher.

Thor, I have to praise your preliminary assessment of my physical shape. I thought I was in better shape, but as I subsequently discovered, I have poor posture and limited flexibility. After more that 25 marathons, this last one a few weeks ago was the first one ever in which I had no pain in my back during and after the LA Marathon. It was quite remarkable! Now 2 weeks after that I also noticed that after many years of shoulder pain, that too has dissapeared. Thanks to you I am on my way to continue pain free problems in my future races.

Thanks Thor, Your training technique has helped me tremendously. In 2012, I weighed 340lbs. I was frustrated, tired all of the time and felt unbalanced. Over the last 2 year’s I have enjoyed a lifestyle change that mean “everything better”. I eat a high protein, low carb. diet. I eat 6 small meals a day, drinking room temperature water, no sugar foods or drinks. No binge eating and no denial within reason. For example if I want to eat fried chicken, I’ll have 5 hot wings instead of a 3 piece meal. That way the cravings ont beat me. I am enjoying the new me. Now that I’m down to a powerful 265 lbs, more energy, more strength and a better attitude overall.
